The home inspection consists of a discussion about any historical water damage. We use different tools during our inspection: Thermo-imaging camera to detect temperature difference, moisture metre, particle counter, humidity metre, borescope (for intrusive investigation). We might perform testing if deemed necessary.
We summarize our findings and recommendations in a written report that we explain in details during a zoom consultation.
We also review reports issued by other companies and perform further intrusive investigation.
Mould Inspection
Everyone will have a zoom consultation first with Andrea. During this session we will assess both the health of the building and the health of the people living in the building. As every person and home is different, the approach will also be individualised.
We use the 37 symptom roster and vcs for the initial assessment of the person's health, following up potentially with genetic and CIRS blood panel.
For the assessment of the building, besides inspection, we might send some samples to the labs. Test used: ERMI, Air-o-Cell spore trap, tape and swab tests. We do not culture mould for testing as it's considered old school.

Consultation
Many times regular builders might have already done some work in the mould affected area, which means mould spores might have been released trough the entire property. We use commercial HEPA vacuum on ceiling, walls, floors. We don't agree with FOGGING with chemicals as our goal is to NOT KILL the mould, but to remove any particles of living or dead mould.
Small Particle Cleaning
We perform mould remediation with PPE and containment area to avoid mould spores spreading through the rest of the property. We DO NOT KILL MOULD - we remove it - as per the International Standard IICRC's S520 Standard of Professional Mould Remediation. Non-porous items can be cleaned with a solution of water and washing up liquid, however porous items like a plasterboard wall or a skirting or wood cabinet HAS to be completely removed and replaced with new.
